By Ross Kerber Jun 7 (Reuters) – Traders left US Treasury yields little changed on Monday as they waited for more details on the inflation outlook and the results of the upcoming government bond auctions this week. The benchmark 10-year yield was up less than a basis point to 1.567% at midday on Monday. U.S. equity markets were also flat, with investors sitting on the bench and tech heavyweight stocks largely ignored an agreement by the world’s richest countries on a global minimum corporate tax. “There is no reason to go out of the range at this time,” said Justin Lederer, analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald. He said he expects few factors could move Treasury prices ahead of a US Federal Reserve meeting next week. The U.S. Treasury Department is expected to auction around $ 120 billion in notes and bonds starting Tuesday, the results of which will show investor appetite for three-year, 10-year and 30-year government debt. A closely watched portion of the U.S. Treasury yield curve measuring the spread between two-year and ten-year Treasury bill yields, seen as an indicator of economic expectations, was at 141 basis points, or less than one point base more than the Friday close. The two-year US Treasury yield, which typically moves with interest rate expectations, rose less than a basis point to 0.1527%.
